Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician I performs diversified maintenance duties to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support the business goals and objectives. 

 

Ownership

  • Perform all assigned preventative work order task safely and in a timely manner.

  • Complete work entries in CMMS system for downtime tracking.

  • Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production operations.

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of machines.

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust machines.

  • Document all machine malfunctions to track machine efficiency.

  • Perform routine visual inspections of machinery and equipment.

  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report findings or solutions to supervisor.

  • Follow safety policy and procedures to include, but not limited to, lock out-tag-out, hot work permit and confined spaces.

  • Must be willing to work alternating shifts including nights and weekends.

  • Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.

  • This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a High school diploma or Trade or vocational school diploma; or three years of maintenance related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • All applicants must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and perform basic mathematical functions.
