Position Summary:
The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for educating Milo’s associates on the nature of offered benefits plans as well as any changes that happen to the structure of the plans.
Responsibilities:
- Processes new associate enrollments.
- Reviews monthly payroll deductions.
- Acts as a liaison to resolve associate issues with benefits administrators and insurance providers.
- Assists associates with enrollment in dental, vision, and medical insurance plans.
- Provides explanations of benefits and guides new hires on enrollment and fulfillment procedures.
- Provides ongoing support for the People and Benefits TEAms.
- Consults with associates about eligibility and other pertinent issues.
- Ensures that the company’s benefits policy is compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
- Responsible for direct support of the Benefits Manager, including but not limited to accounts payables and receivables.
- Invests in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social and corporate governance components.
- Perform variety of other administrative duties as assigned including leave management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years’ experience in health and medical benefits administration. Equivalent, relevant experience may substitute for education requirement.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications: word, excel, power point, outlook, share point.
- Attention to detail, high capability with and understanding of technology, fined tuned organization skills and willingness to be part of an engaged TEAm.
- Experience and knowledge of self-insured health insurance, benefits administration, and payroll highly preferred.
- FMLA and associate leave experience preferred,
- Ability to interact successfully with associates.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefit insurance items: health, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, accident, hospital indemnity, life insurance, etc.
