Position Summary:
As Director of Transportation, you will lead the design, development, and execution of an optimized transportation strategy that profitably delivers quality beverages to customers across the US. This role will be responsible for end-to-end transportation management include, carrier sourcing, onboarding, and management, shipment planning and execution, freight audit and pay, and network optimization activities. This role will also be responsible to the deployment and ongoing management of a TMS solution.
Responsibilities:
Deployment of Transportation Management System (TMS) solution, creating a path to complete ownership of transportation management activities and nurturing a relationship with TMS solution provider.
Identify, onboard, and actively manage network of carriers to meet all outbound transportation needs
Lead freight RFP process to drive improvements in service and cost metrics that will continue to drive business results and scale for growth
Oversee and manage Shipment Planning and Execution process, collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure on-time and in-full delivery of product.
Partner with supply chain and sales team members to identify and execute network optimization activities, including LTL consolidation, dedicated lanes/shuttles, and network design activities
Other responsibilities, as necessary.
Supervisory: This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Related Field required, Masters Degree Preferred
5+ years experience in transportation setting or supply chain management role
Food/beverage and/or CPG experience preferred
Experience with ERP, WMS, and WES preferred
