Position Summary:
Supports the Senior Manager of Category Insights in bridging business strategy, analytics and data science to deliver insights that drive business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic business questions and provide analytical solutions with data driven recommendations
Execute the data strategy, collaborating with IT and data engineering to ensure robust data pipelines, governance and data quality
Help launch new data streams to support expanding business needs and enhance existing data sets to maximize value and drive efficiencies
Apply advanced analytics and data science techniques (predictive modeling, machine learning, clustering regression, etc.), integrating disparate data sources to develop insights and support strategic initiatives
Build and maintain data models, reports and dashboards using BI tools to monitor performance and track KPIs using data storytelling best practices
Support training to upskill cross-functional partners in accessing, understanding and interpreting data
Help manage vendor relationships to ensure high quality data and deliverables
Supervisory:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
B.A. in business analytics, statistics, applied math, or any other related field; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or M.S. with 3 years related experience
Strong ability to understand and model real-world business dynamics using data
Strong experience with SQL, Python (queries, functions, stored procedures, views, etc.) and cloud-based solutions like Databricks for querying and processing data
Proficiency in data visualization BI tools (both data modeling and report building) to deliver self-service analytic solutions
Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehouses.
Experience with Customer POS and syndicated data
Experience with statistical models, predictive analytics and machine learning
