Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries while minimizing overtime. - Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. - Communicate policy and procedures to employees and ensure enforcement is consistent. - This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality. - Uphold and manage team participation in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned.   SUPERVISORY: This position has supervisory responsibilities.   QUALIFICATIONS: - All applicants must have either a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Applicants must have the ability to perform basic mathematical function and the ability to prepare correspondence.  - To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of MS Office and working knowledge of CMMS.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, see, talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel. This role requires daily supervision and guidance of Quality Assurance.   Responsibilities: - Conduct inspections and audits across all quality performance phases (raw materials, production, packaging, distribution, Food Safety Plan/ HACCP, GMPs, etc.). - Enforce QA policies, procedures, and directives to meet company, customer, and government expectations, providing necessary feedback and ensuring corrective actions. - Lead the plant's SQF certification program and perform customer and annual SQF audits. - Develop and uphold the Food Safety and HACCP plan, train plant personnel on quality programs. - Communicate with State Dept of Agriculture/ FDA representative regarding inspections and maintain various quality programs (Pest Control, Self-Inspection, Supplier Management, Safety, Microbiological Testing, and Food Defense). - Collaborate with Plant Manager to ensure proper facility maintenance and housekeeping. - This position has supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in an applicable technical field – Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, etc. - 5+ of quality control experience in food manufacturing. - Proficiency in HACCP, SSOP, and SOP - Knowledge of FDA standards - SQF Practitioner and PCQI Certification highly preferred. - Strong knowledge of equipment, analytical tools, and food-processing equipment   Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, see, talk and hear. They develop business plans specific to their territories and build internal and external alignment.  They implement their strategy with cross-functional teamwork and communication.  They partner with retailers to profitably grow sales within the assigned territory. Ownership - Travel as needed (approximately 50% - 75% overnight) throughout assigned territory to visit existing and prospective customers to grow sales in all channels. - Work closely with immediate supervisor for direction and planning of efforts to drive sales through consumer events and retail sales opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree in Business Management or 10+ years of related experience and/or training PHYSICAL DEMANDS - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, see, talk and hear.
